“Sounds like you’ve got a little bit of a problem.”
Nadya was startled out of her glowering by the voice. Seeing Xenia and the conversation they’d had had caused her to momentarily forget that there was someone in the cell beside her. She looked over and saw that Samantha had lain back down on her cot. “Only problem I’ve got is whether I get the chance to shove something up her ass before I bite it.”
“Well, that goes without saying,” Sam replied. “Although, there might be a second option.”
A cruel smirk formed on Nadya’s face. “You’re right. I should try for a chance to shove something up that cock of her’s… much more painful.”
“Alright, a third option then,” Samantha continued, shrugging off Nadya’s remarks. “One that doesn’t involve you dying. Or at least, potentially doesn’t involve you dying.”
Nadya looked over at the woman, lifting an eyebrow. “What’s that?”
“Well, unlike you, I’m not exactly a prisoner here. I’ve got access to the outside world.” Sam looked over at Nadya. “I could help you escape.”
Nadya was silent for a moment, unsure of what to say. “Why? You seem to be a satisfied customer here. So why go to the trouble of pissing them off? They might not sew your head back on next time.”
Samantha shrugged. “I remember you.”
“How? The fucking cunt with the cock said you wouldn’t have any memories. Just whatever information they put in your head after they were finished fixing you up.”
“I’ve been through this so many times…”
“Yea… you shouldn’t remember that, either, from what I’ve heard.”
Samantha sat up on her cot again, rubbing at her forehead. “I don’t understand it. It’s like déjà vu, is the best way I can describe it. Just… I know that I know you. I know that I was supposed to help you. I seriously doubt, given all of my other inherent skills and abilities, that it was to break out of this place… but what the hell, right?
Apparently, you got out of whatever trouble you were in without my help, so the least I can do is make up for it now.”
A small smile crossed Nadya’s lips. “Actually, you helped me out of that situation more than you know. Even if you technically weren’t alive for most of it.”
“Well, that doesn’t count, then. I’m alive now, so if you want my help, you’ve got it.”
Nadya shrugged. “Well, I’d rather die while busting out of this shithole than letting that freak of a fucking sister of mine touch me again. What’s the plan?”
Samantha stood up and reached into the pocket of the black vinyl pants she was wearing, fishing out a sleek cell phone. “I’ve got a contact, one of the many things they put back into my head when they brought me back. I do believe she might be able to offer some immensely helpful services.”
She began to dial a number then put the phone to her ear. “I just hope she’s not bloody stoned out of her mind…”
Nadya wasn’t sure what good a phone call would do, but it was still a hell of a lot better than any ideas she had, so she figured she’d roll with it and see how things played out. She listened to Sam have a brief conversation with whoever was on the other end of the phone, then the phone was being held in front of her face through the bars of the cell. Nadya blinked and looked over at Samantha.
“Tell her what you need doing.”
Nadya nodded and took the phone, putting it to her ear. “Hello?”
“Yo, chicklit. What’s the dealy-o?” said the voice of an American woman. “I’m Lulu. I hear you need something hacked.”
Hacked to pieces might be closer to what I need, she thought.
“I’ve got a collar around my neck that shocks the fuck out of me anytime I do something bad. I’ve also got a cell door that needs to be opened.”
“Alright, let’s see what we can see here…” Nadya heard the sound of tapping on a keyboard and Lulu started to whistle the theme to Mission Impossible. “Aaaand… yahtzee!”
Before Nadya could ask what the exclamation meant, there was a ding sound from the collar and it clicked open, falling off of her. She looked down at it, amazed that it had come off so easily. Her attention was drawn to the cell door which had just clicked open. “How the fuck?”
“I’m just that good, baby,” Lulu replied. “Anything else you need?”
“A way out of this shithole would be nice…”
“Hmm…” Lulu replied. “Well, I’ve got the floor plan to this base you’re in. And it looks like I can unlock any doors you need along the way. Jeebus, this place is huge…”
The sound of tapping continued for a few more moments. “Actually… holy shit…” Lulu laughed. “Hey, you want some diversions?”
“Diversions?” Nadya wasn’t sure what the chick on the other end of the phone meant.
“Yea, y’know… like fire alarms… fake fire alarms. Just a whole shit ton of fake alarms in general. It’ll spread out all these assholes all around the fucking place you’re in. Sound good, chickie?”
Nadya only considered it for a moment. “Do it.”
The more spread out the fuckers were, the better. It was bad enough she didn’t have any weapons to defend herself with. “Hold on. Can you tell me where everyone in this place is?”
“Shit, yea, baby,” Lulu said, the sound of her grin was evident through the phone. “This fucking software they have is goddamn state of the fucking art. They have tracers on every person inside their base. I could tell you who’s taking a shit at this very moment. If you’re into that kinda shit, I mean.”
“I’m not,” Nadya replied. “Tell me if there are any guards outside this holding cell.”
“There is,” Lulu said. “Looks like two of them right outside the cell area you’re in right now. As far as what they’re carrying, I got no fucking clue, baby. That’s up to you to figure out.”
“Don’t worry,” Nadya said, starting towards the open cell door. “I will.” She pushed the door fully open and stepped out. “Okay, wait till I give the word, then you start triggering those alarms. I want to get a few weapons first.”
“You got it, baby,” Lulu said. “Hey, if you manage to get outta this shit alive, how bout you swing by for some high tech, mind blowing, major pot smoking bender? Who knows… maybe I’ll even let you lick my twat.”
Nadya couldn’t help smirking, despite her recent encounter with sex. The girl on the other end of the phone was just too cute sounding. “Maybe. Just get me out of this shit first, huh?”
“You got it, darlin’.”
Nadya started towards the door leading out of the cell room. “Where you going?” She turned to Samantha, who was still in her cell.
“Oh… sorry,” Nadya said, tossing the cell phone back. “Thanks for the help.”
“I’m not done helping yet,” she said, tossing the phone back. “You keep it for now. I’m here to back you up. You call the shots.”
Nadya looked at Sam for a few moments, then nodded. “Alright.” She put the phone back to her ear. “Alright, can you tell me where these guards are in relation to where I am?”
“Sure thing, darling,” Lulu replied. “You basically got one on either side of the door.” There was a pause. “Sorry, can’t tell you what they’re packing. Prolly some heavy ass shit, given the complications of these assholes’ security. Hold on…” Another bit of tapping on a keyboard was heard. “There we go. Fucking thing keeps trying to kick me out of the system. Fuckers…”
“Hang in there as long as you can,” Nadya said. “I’m not through with you yet.” She turned to Sam. “Alright, you wanna help, I’m not gonna argue. You take the one on the right, I’ll take the left.”
Samantha nodded and moved out of her cell to stand beside Nadya.
“You ready?” Nadya asked.
Sam nodded.
“Good. Kick ass.”
The two women moved to the door leading out of the cell room. Nadya lifted a foot and kicked out, slamming it into the door and sending it smashing outwards. They each burst through the opening, catching the two guards by surprise.
Nadya grabbed hold of the guard on the left and brought her knee up into his gut, knocking the air from his lungs. The guard stumbled back, doubling over and Nadya continued to advance, jumping up and slamming her left foot forward into the guard’s face, smashing his nose flat and knocking several of his teeth free. The guard fell to the ground in a groaning heap. She advanced and stomped down on his neck, causing a crunching sound.
Turning around, she caught the sight of Samantha snapping the neck of the second guard. Once both guards had finished twitching, Nadya raised the phone to her mouth again. “Alright. Do it.”
“Holy fuckshit,” Lulu said. “Suddenly, there’s a whole fuckload of fires and other similar catastrophes happening all around you. That should spread out the fuckers quite nicely.”
Sirens started to blare all around Nadya and Samantha. “Thanks,” she told Lulu, then tossed the phone back to Sam. “You ready for this?”
“Seeing as I was just re-created from a corpse, you might even say I was born ready,” Samantha replied.
Nadya smirked. “Clichéd line… but strangely appropriate given the circumstances.” She knelt down and relieved the dead guard of his weapons. A handgun and a few clips of ammo, along with a baton. “Should be good enough for now. Have her guide us out of this fucking hell hole of despair.”
Samantha nodded and spoke into the phone to Lulu. She grabbed the other dead guard’s weaponry as they exchanged words, then stood back up and turned to Nadya. “We go left.”
Nadya nodded and headed left.
